Town and Country Christian Preschool
The purpose of the Town and Country Christian Preschool is to provide a learning experience for 3 and 4-year-old children. Some of the concepts that are stressed are: self identification, rhyming, recognition of numbers, the alphabet, manners, music, puppets, art, colors, shapes, matching and differences, health, safety rules, coordination (motor skills), comparison of sizes and quantities, spacial concepts, animals, and transportation. Many methods are employed using the senses (taste, touch, smell, hearing, seeing) to expose the children to these concepts. Basic Bible truths (sharing, love, parables, holidays, etc.) are also taught through Bible stories and songs.
The preschool has two age levels of classes. Irma Whitten and Ashley Shively teach the Little Lambs classes (3-years-old and young 4-year-olds). Sandy Wilson and Regina Jacobs teach the Busy Bees classes (4-years-old and young 5-year-olds).
Classes are in session beginning in September and end in May. Little Lambs attend on Tuesday and Wednesday (either in the morning class or the afternoon) and the Busy Bees attend on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (either in the morning class or the afternoon). The class size is generally 16 children.
If you would like more information or would like to register your child, you may contact the church office at 317-392-4890, or the director of the preschool, Sandy Wilson, at 317-392-2255.
